Portage County Youth Soccer has created a Goalkeeper Development program,
available to all local soccer players.
January 8, 2011: The 2nd annual
"Goal Keeper Clinic"
at Soccer Heaven in Appleton, WI. We are anticipating 80 keepers in attendance
this year. January 16th, 2011: The
Marquette Soccer School Striker Clinic
is being held at UWSP MAC! This
camp will offer superb training and instruction specifically for the striker
position; 2010 There are two 3- day camps being held right at PCYS the week before the tournament. These camps will give you a great opportunity to improve your skills (join other players who are coming from across the state to get this training).
June 22 - 24, 2010: The 4th annual
"Camp Shutout Road Show - SP"
will be held in Stevens Point, WI. We are anticipating 80 keepers in attendance

Marquette University Striker Camp
is being held at the same time and at the same facility as the Road Show! This
camp will offer superb training and instruction specifically for the striker
position; keepers and strikers are the two hardest positions to fill in soccer. Web

Stan Anderson (Associate Head Coach Marquette University Men's Soccer Team) is nationally known as a great keeper coach. Stan has owned/operated Camp Shutout for 21 years, a 7 day camp in Milwaukee that will attract 170 keepers from across the country in July. We are fortunate and excited to be able to entice Stan and his staff to come to Stevens Point. . . goalkeeper is THE most under-coached position in soccer, and this camp provides intense, high quality training for keepers of all ages.The keeper camp has been so successful that we are offering the Marquette University Striker Camp for the first time this June. . . Louis Bennett (Head Coach Marquette University Men's Soccer team) and his staff will provide great training so that players can improve their critical attacking skills. Louis is also nationally known and highly regarded.We are excited that we can bring two Division 1 soccer coaches to Central Wisconsin. . .we truly will be "Soccer Central" in Wisconsin the week of June 21!These two camps are a great lead-in to the Stevens Point Soccer Classic for any player, and will help make you a better player!Eric Wiberg. . . Shutout Road Show - SP" will be held in Stevens Point, WI. We are
anticipating 80 keepers in attendance this year. To quote Kasey Keller, US National Team keeper, "find the best coaching that you possibly can. What is difficult about being a goalkeeper is you could be on a good team and still not get very good coaching because the great coach that you have at the club team may not know anything about goalkeeping. If you can find a really good specialized goalkeeping trainer that you can train with as often as possible, it’s going to give you the best opportunity.
