U12, U13, U14 Girls is Wednesday June 22, 2011 at 6pm.
Congratulations!
June 16-19, 2011:
FC
Central Select U15Girls
made a fantastic
run in the Presidents Cup, South Bend, Indiana. Defeating Missouri 7-0, Indiana
4-3, and Ohio 4-1. Fell behind in the Championship game against Kansas 4-1 at
half. Had a strong second half, but it wasn't quite enough, lost 4-3. Had around
10-12 minutes of play trying to tie it up. KANSAS swept through their pool play
8-1, 8-1, 5-0, so we were the only team to really push them to the limit.

Room
Tax Committee opting to fund the $142,000 construction of a parking lot...
A proposal from Portage County Youth Soccer drew the largest sum, with the
committee opting to fund the $142,000 construction of a parking lot, lights and
fencing for a facility in 2007 and put $25,000 toward a grandstand in 2009.
One
member remarked the project "epitomized the room tax fund," due in
part to the likelihood that tournaments will provide sizable revenue sources.
