CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Rec Game cancellations will be announced by 4:30 pm on this web site and on WSPT (97.9) Radio.   

 

2. After 4:30 pm Rec Games will be cancelled on site at the discretion of the head coaches and referees.

 

3. Criteria used to determine cancellation of one or more games:

a. Lightning in area per WYSA guidelines
b. Heavy/steady rain which saturates fields and leaves standing water and mud, thereby leaving the field in an unsafe playing condition.
c. In certain cases one game may be cancelled without cancelling the entire night. Games will be cancelled under dangerous conditions like lightning or strong winds. Normally games will be played in light rain, and usually play can resume after a heavy rain.

 

5. The safety of players and spectators is the main concern.

6. Practices are cancelled at the discretion of the head coach.

7. Parents/Players should take responsibility for their own safety.
